PS.  A moment of silence for the death anniversary of the King of Rock ‘n’ Roll, Mr. Elvis Aron Presley!  It’s been 34 years, and it – almost – feels like yesterday!  On a lighter note, it’s Julie Newmar‘s 78th Birthday!  She was The quintessential Cat Woman, on the ’60s Adam West Batman series!  All the others were merely pretenders. (Although, Halle was hot!)  The lovely and graceful Suzanne Farrell is also celebrating her 66th birthday!  Who says yer Uncle ain’t got no class???  And, one of my favorites from the late ’70s – early ’80s, Lesley Ann Warren is 65 today!  Happy Birthday, to some great old gals!  Thanks for the memories, ladies!  —   YUR

PS. Congrats to Jim Thome on hitting his 600th career home run, last night, for the Minnesota Twins!  Just the 8th player EVER to reach the mark!  He’s in his 20th season, and back problems have hurt his production some, but he’s a warrior.  If he can finish strong and have a productive 21st – about the limit for power hitters – he could very well finish up at #6.  Best of luck to one of the few really good guys!   —   YUR
