Clue/Question: What they were able to make when the role of 007 passed from Sean to Roger.
Answer: “MOORE“ BONDS
(Absolutely no complaints here! Basic clue words, nicely scrambled. No giveaway in the way the answer letters played out. And a great cartoon, with some pretty good likenesses of two of the most memorable James Bond actors! I have enjoyed all the actors who have portrayed Mr. Bond throughout the years. Kind of ironically, the very first Bond movie I ever saw was the one with the actor that most people seem to forget about. On Her Majesty’s Secret Service, with George Lazenby, was my formal introduction to the series. I was 11 or 12, and I think my mother hadn’t allowed me to watch any of the “original” Bond films, probably because – at the time – they really weren’t very appropriate for young kids. A little too sexy, and a little too violent, I’m guessing. Kids were still relatively innocent in the ’60s. But, I loved the movie! It has this great chase scene, on skis, down this alpine mountain. One of the “bad guys”, who’s pretty close to nailing James, skis right into the intake chute of a huge snow blower! Quick pan to the outflow chute shows the snow go from white to red. Pretty cool Ewwww moment! I hope everyone enjoyed today’s Jumble as much as I did. Be well and do good, friends!) — YUR
PS. I was going to give you this great spoof photo/poster for today’s picture, but I decided that the focus really should be on Sir Roger! — YUR
