(I am not a fan of the word “evil”.  It’s, primarily, a concept that has been used to frighten and control children – and the uneducated – since the dawn of speech.  It’s really an unnecessary absolute that serves no good purpose.  There are simply varying degrees of good and bad in this world, and there is always some underlying impetus for such.  You could very easily replace the word “evil” with the word “good” in this quote, and it would be just as true.  It’s all a matter of nurture, because in nature things simply are.  The indoctrination – and perpetuation – of “evil” is mankind’s biggest impediment to enlightenment.)   —   YUR

(LOTS of great clue words today!  The first two I found very easy, but the other four were more interesting and more of a challenge.  “Scotch” and “gambit” were really fun, and “tirade” threw me for a few seconds.  Nice scrambling of the answer letters, but the answer itself was pretty evident to me.  Enjoy your Sunday, friends.)   —   YUR
