Answer:  LUGGING

(Mixed reactions today.  It may, or may not, be a “new” word, and the scrambling of it was good, but “guava” kind of jumped off the page, for me.  While “icing” was nearly completely backwards, and “gladly” was completely backwards.  For some reason I’ve always been able to read backwards.  Maybe I was a Rabi in a past life, or something.  I’m also pretty good at reading upside down.  Although, I highly doubt that that will ever come in handy here.  This is either compensation for, or maybe the reason of my overall poor, straight-forward reading.  I tried a speed reading course, but they told me that they can’t help with people who read at a sub-vocal level.  Any reading teachers got any tips for a middle-aged poor reader?!?!  Anyway, I had no problem getting “agency”, too.  BUT, the scrambling of the answer letters was great!  Also, the cartoon was top-notch.  I have been in that family situation many, many times.  I almost never pack my own bag, or help too much in the general preparations.  But, this big lug always does all the lugging to and from the car.  I think it’s the main reason they keep me around.  Be well and do good, friends.)   —   YUR
