(Wet) Sunday Jumble Spoiler – 07/03/11

Visual Description:  Welcoming card store workers.

Clue/Question:  What the clerks offered the customers when they walked into the card store.

(Sssokay.  Definitely NOT the toughest Sunday Jumble we’ve seen.  It’s the fewest answer letters for a Sunday puzzle, in a long time.  None of the clue words seemed *new* to me, but they were all well scrambled.  I had to think some on all but “breezy” and “giggle”.  The answer letters weren’t obvious in any way.  The toughest thing for me today was writing the whole thing out on a sheet of paper.  My delivery guy threw a single wrapped newspaper into a big puddle at the end of my driveway this morning!  This is very strange because it hadn’t just started raining, it had been raining for a few hours already.   My guy usually double bags on rainy days, and his aim is generally much better.  So, the entire paper was soaked.  But, I was able to open the section with the puzzles, and transcribe everything to a piece of printer paper.  Ya see what Your Uncle Rave will go through for you guys?!?!  Now, that’s what I call dedication!  LOL!  Be well and do good, friends.)   —   YUR

PS.  Jeff or David:  Who are Julie and Ann Marie?  Wives?  Daughters?     YUR

PERSON took almost all the time of the final aruguments by the defense in the Casey Anthony trial for my mom and I to figure out. Finally, DH shouted out PERSON after only a few minutes! The solution helped us figure out that the word ended in N. My mom and I examined the drawing with a magnifying glass. So yes, YUR, who are Julie and Anne Marie? We also saw “Far Side” and “Happy 75” on cards! And…a Jumble Puzzle on a card! Palm tree in background? Florida again? Fun to do between trial highlights on a rainy day!

Those are our morher’s names. It turns out that they have the same birthdays, July 3rd. So we tried to create a jumble we could wish them both Happy Birthday in. Aloha

    @ Leslie,
Tragic case. But, the (corporate) media – as usual – has dedicated far too much time in covering it.

    @ Jeff,

Hope your moms enjoyed their birthdays, Jeff!
