I have become a fan of these jumbles. But like thousands of your readers I often guess the answer without having to bother with the words. Takes some of the fun out of them.

Cover up the cartoon, bud! I refuse to look at the cartoon until I’ve gotten the clue words. Only as a last resort would I look at the cartoon to back into a word.
That photo is a good 30 + years old, fren. If I looked like one of the Partridge Family then I probably look more like Reuben Kincaid now. But, I have aged a heckuva lot better than Danny Bonaduce!
