His lack of education is more than compensated for by his keenly developed moral bankruptcy.”   —   Woody Allen

(Wow!  I’d hate to be the subject of that quip!  I wonder if he was talking about a real person, or just a character in one of his stories/manuscripts?  Hmm.  I was always impressed with Woody’s use of vocabulary.  Some readers object to the didactic nature of Unclerave’s Wordy Weblog.  I got that word from a Woody film!  Don’t ask me which one.  Be well and do good, friends!)   —   YUR

The Woody film was Broadway Danny Rose. One of my favorites.

P.S. If Woody were to comment here, I’m sure he would say, “Uncle Rave, you’re a tremendous individual!”

    P.P.S. Woody: “…and I’m not being facetious!”

    “tremendous” could mean a number of things . . . couldn’t it?

Woody uses the word to connote stature, not girth.
