Visual Description: A bumbling sleight of hand applicant failing the Penn and Teller test.
GOTAL = GLOAT, REETX = EXERT, CLFIEK = FICKLE, COYPCU = OCCUPY — Giving us: OTRTIKOCY
Clue/Question: He failed his magician’s exam because it was . . .
Answer: TOO TRICKY
(I’m sure that people had an easier time figuring out today’s guest characters, than they did with yesterday’s. Nicely scrambled – all around. The first three clue words all seemed familiar, but I can’t remember seeing “occupy” before. Maybe ralis95 will check in to confirm. He’s been rather quiet of late. My Site Stats indicate that someone has been checking up on me. Most likely it’s someone from Gathering of Eagles, or some other group that is generally a denyer of global warming. Don’t worry, kids. By now yer old uncle is used to this kind of thing. Just toe the line, and don’t rock the boat, and the rest of you will be alright. I prefer the sand between my toes . . . and not up my nose. I hope you guys notice that I always wish you to be well, and not be good. Being good is just so subjective . . . and so wishy-washy. Doing good is much less subjective. Although, I know there are plenty of cranks out there that would fight me on this, as well. Fortunately, I believe that the majority of you get it. So, be well and do good, dear readers.) — YUR

Yep, OCCUPY is new, bringing the total in the database to 2311 – and this is only May. I’m sure they will reach, if not exceed, my prediction of 2500 words by the end of the year. Got a nice, signed, frameable (how’s that for a new word?)Jumble from Jeff after I responded to the request you forwarded to me.
Cool beans, ralis95! Your Uncle Rave: Mover, Shaker – makin’ those professional connections. The word-nerds version of LinkedIn! Hey, maybe I should start an UncleRave Facebook page? Anybody savvy to those in-and-outs?

You don’t have a FB page yet? I’m on it every day keeping up with former teacher pals and relatives! We are all DNIK to each other. I had trouble with every word in this JUMBLE! I wasn’t screaming and throwing stuff (Sunday almost made me do that!), but I was close! Thanks guys for keeping it challenging!
Ya got me, kid. What the heck is DNIK? Were you throwing me a jumble, or something?

Yes…on DNIK=KIND! Sorry, I knew I should have said that it was a JUMBLE! In today’s world of txting it could have meant anything! Sorry! 🙂
No prob! I’m actually glad that it’s NOT some acronym that my kids could rag on me for not knowing!
