(Cute word play, but not exactly an accurate definition.  Unless he’s referring to Golden Retrievers.  If so, then he nailed it!)   —   YUR

WRORA  =  ARROW,  SBCIA  =  BASIC,  KERUTY  =  TURKEY,  VIEDID  =  DIVIDE   —   Giving us:  RWACREYDE

Clue/Question:  After seeing him on TV, Jumble artist Jeff Knurek did this.

Answer:  DREW CAREY

(Nothing difficult with the clue words, this morning, but they were all well-scrambled.  Only a fairly good job on the answer letters, though.  But, we’ve seen a lot worse in the past.  I can already see that some people are having trouble with this one.  Most likely people who have jobs, or have jobs but work days, and/or don’t work from home.  Or, those who just don’t watch game shows, or television in general.  The records on the wall are a nice distraction/misdirection.  The image of Mr. Carey is not – SORRY, JEFF – the most compelling, and his saying “That’s not too much” doesn’t really sound like something you’d hear on the show.  But, the Indians tee-shirt was a nice little “bonus clue”, seeing how Drew hales from Cleveland.  This rainy weather we’re getting here, in the Northeast, has gotten very tedious.  I can’t cut the grass!  I guess I should just be thankful I’m not in the ever-expanding Tornado Alley . . . yet.  Do you realize that there are still people in denial of climate change, due to global warming?  It’s one of those things where you don’t know whether to laugh or cry.  Not a lot of laughter coming out of Joplin, MO this morning.  Let’s all try to keep a good thought for all the victims of these recent tragic weather/natural events.  If you can afford some kind of donation, to a disaster relief organization, then please do so.  If you have the time, and you’re qualified, see if you can volunteer your services.  Be well, friends.)   —   YUR
