Clue/Question:  The card shark attracted so much attention because he was a . . .

Answer:  FISH OUT OF WATER

(VERY good!  Always one of my favorite story lines.  Some very nice clue words today.  I liked “warmth” and “tattoo” and “iodine”  the best!  And, overall superlative scrambling.  Cute cartoon, too.  Two of my favorite sitcoms were classic fish out of water stories:  The Beverly Hillbillies and Third Rock From The Sun.  I also enjoyed the movies:  Encino Man and Star Man, and the historical characters – out of context – in Bill and Ted’s Excellent Adventure.  They all make you realize how things that we totally take for granted can be absolutely bizarre to people from other places and times.  It looks like we all survived the May 21st Dooms Day predictions.  Good for us.  Now, let’s all go out there and try to be better to each other.  Peace, friends.)   —   YUR
