(You just can’t trust some guys to perform simple tasks! I think with some people it’s a ploy. They figure if they do a bad enough job – at something they probably didn’t want to do anyway – they won’t be asked to do it in the future. Pretty sneaky. I’m guessing it works best with loved ones, though. I wouldn’t recommend trying this at one’s place of employment. Especially in this job market!
Good clue words . . . nicely scrambled. I must be developing some kind of Jumble-vision, because I just saw every unscrambled word, without even having to give them any thought. Nothing obvious in the way the answer letters were arranged, which is good. I guess you just have to be good with idioms. And, it also helps to know that “pickles” are marinated/preserved/brined cucumbers. I’ve never been a fan of pickles, although I do like pickled peppers. I guess I’m just a sucker for alliteration! Be well and do good, my friends.) — YUR
Ha! Do the job poorly so that you do not have to do it again? I’ve done that! For me it was painting my house and cooking breakfast. A fellow teacher was being too strict in cafeteria duty, so they didn’t make him do it again for 5 years! I think there is some irony in that! As for the puzzle, very easy but fun! And I just love all kinds of pickles, espcially butter chips and baby gerkins!
It’s nice having you back with us, Coco! I trust you had a great trip. Please feel free to pass along the highlights and/or low-lights, as you see fit.
Welcome back to relative reality!
