WIATA = AWAIT, SCIMU = MUSIC, STIHTR = THIRST, GJRNOA = JARGON — Giving us: WTUSIITJGN
Clue/Question: He didn’t study to get his pilot’s license because he thought he could . . .
Answer: JUST WING IT
(I got “await” right away. But, I had to think to come up with “thirst”. I’m sure we’ve seen this incarnation of “music” numerous times before. And, for some reason, I had no problem coming up with “jargon”. All the clue words and the answer letters were well scrambled. It’s been said that Hani Hanjour “could not solo a Cessna 150 . . .” and yet he was – somehow – able to fly a Boeing 757-223, at an altitude of about 60 feet, and hit the five story building which is widely considered to be one of the world’s most surveilled, and secure, structures of all time. Not bad, at all! I’d like to see the video of that feat of flying prowess. Oops! The U.S. Government won’t release any of their, or any of the confiscated – private – security, videos from that morning. It’s been nearly 10 years. Gee. I wonder why?) — YUR
