(Mark Skipworth) Jumble Spoiler – 03/10/11

Kiddie Ride

Visual Description:  Mark Skipworth working on his railroad!

SECSH  =  CHESS,  SCUHR  =  CRUSH,  AOWENP  =  WEAPON,  KWIECD  =  WICKED   —   Giving us:  HESCHWEWC

Clue/Question:  What the engineer’s lunch was.

Answer:  CHEW CHEWS

(Not bad!  A little on the obvious side, but not bad.  Overall great scrambling.  And, a great cartoon.  Who is Mark Skipworth, you might ask?  We sorta went to high school together.  He was a few years behind me, but now, through the magic of the internet, we are Facebook friends!  The guy is a BIG train enthusiast, and he actually owns his own kiddie-ride train.  He also does a superlative job capturing the history of our schools, high and jr. high/middle, our town, city, county, etc.  One day, I actually hope to meet the guy!)   — YUR

Architecture starts when you carefully put two bricks together.  There it begins.”   — Ludwig Mies van der Rohe

(SOMEONE’S kid is definitely studying to become an architect!  Not for nothin’, but this quotation has kind of an ethnocentric/elitist ring to it.   Stone?  Wood?  Bamboo?  His style is a little austere for my taste anyway.)   — YUR
