“True consistency, that of the prudent and the wise, is to act in conformity with circumstances.” — John C. Calhoun
(I’m not particularly moved by this quotation, one way or the other. So, I’ll take this opportunity to tell everybody that my cast came off, on Thursday! The doc likes the way the x-rays look, although he’s not happy with the level of swelling. It is – still – very ugly! I’m back in the protective boot, and I’m walking on it, with the assistance of a cane. He said that walking on it is necessary for loosening up everything that kind of locked up, as a result of the injury and being casted. Plus, the walking should help with the swelling. And, when I’m not walking on it I’m supposed to be keeping it elevated – above my heart. Not always the easiest thing to do. I can’t quite walk my Ginger yet, because she’s way too rambunctious, but I should get there soon enough. Be good, do good, friends.) — YUR
