Visual Description: Connected towing contractor.
NFOTR = FRONT, UPPML = PLUMP, ERLPUP = PURPLE, HOSDUL = SHOULD — Giving us: FOTLPULSOL
Clue/Question: Why the tow truck driver was able to help.
Answer: LOTS OF PULL
(Pretty good. The phrasing of the clue/question probably would have been better if it had ended with: HE HAD . . . but I think most were able to figure the answer out regardless of the lack of flow. No surprises with the clue words. All pretty common. Both they and the answer letters were nicely scrambled. I still don’t think Lesley had to throw this on the floor, or anything. And, Amy probably didn’t have to “cheat”. If they, or anyone, writes in with further critique we’ll know more. Maybe we’ll even hear from Marc, Ken, Richard, or the MIA . . . ralis95! It could happen.) — YUR
“Purple” also spells”Pulper”, a person or machine in a lumber mill that makes pulp.
Curious to see if we’ll be more challenged as the week progresses…
walt, you must be a scrabble player.
I’ll try to make/keep a mental note on “pulper”, for future reference, Walt!
So far, no real challenge, Marc. But maybe, due to Jeff’s announcement, we’re just expecting a little too much. If there had been no fanfare maybe we wouldn’t be as critical.

LOL No screaming or throwing today! I certainly used my knowledge of consonant digraphs today, though! Words were easy to unscramble, but I had to sit and think awhile about the solution. P-U-L-L jumped out at me, and then I connected the truck driver’s comment. I have a feeling this is the calm before the storm, guys! I bet tomorrow’s puzzle ain’t gonna be that easy!
That’s what us die-hards live for, Lesley!
