Visual Description:  Anxious beginner, ready for the bunny slope.

FRYOE  =  FOYER,  BLAUM  =  ALBUM,  WREABE  =  BEWARE,  SNIPOO  =  POISON   —   Giving us:  FOAUWRPS

Clue/Question:  How the novice skier felt when he started down the slope.

Answer:  HE WAS UP FOR IT

(Not bad.  The clue words and the answer letters were all well scrambled.  Whenever the answer has two or three short words it’s usually pretty easy to get.  And, today was no exception.  It kind of looks like they removed some dialog/comment bubbles, at the last moment.  I wonder what the guys had them saying?  Do good, people.)   — YUR

Cryptoquote Spoiler – 02/24/11

Dutch Attack on the Medway, June 1667 by Piete...

Mighty proud I am that I am able to have a spare bed for my friends.”   — Samuel Pepys

(We host a lot of “reunion” events, and my wife has a lot of relatives and friends from out of town.  And, occasionally, one of my relatives comes to visit.  We kind of treat our house like an inn.  We should have a framed copy of this quote somewheres near our main entrance!  The pronunciation of the name Pepys – “peeps” – always amuses me.  It just seems so un-British.  I guess it’s because it is originally French, and it came over in the Norman invasion of 1066.  It always makes me think of the little marshmallow chicks, and bunnies(?), that you see at Easter time.  I could never be bothered by them.  Marshmallows are for cocoa and campfires!  These Peeps take up valuable space that could be filled by chocolate eggs and bunnies!)   — YUR
