Visual Description: A father explaining his ancestry to his kids.
VAMUE = MAUVE, RAPEP = PAPER, GORNST = STRONG, GINPTY = TYPING — Giving us: AEERSROTNG
Clue/Question: What the electrician discovered when he traced his family tree.
Answer: THE “GENERATORS“
(Very good! 10 letter answers are always a bit more challenging. Only one unusual clue word today – “mauve”. The others were common, but well scrambled. I solved this at the usual time, but have allowed myself to be distracted all morning. I apologize to anyone who’s been waiting for me to post the spoiler.) — YUR
They’re trying harder to get us!
And, I appreciate it! There’s no satisfaction in the gimmes! Right, Marc?

Not sure if this is just coincidence, but sometimes I think they throw in subliminal messages. RAPE and GIN??? Let’s hope its just coincidence!
I can’t see GIN being used as a RAPE drug, dave. (Not even if they’re going after that more mature martini crowd!) When you’re scrambling five and six letter words you’re liable to occasionally get three and four letter words . . . purely by coincidence.
