Fruit stall in a market in Barcelona, Spain.

Visual Description:  Lady buying fruit from a public market vendor.

SOOGE  =  GOOSE,  UROCC  =  OCCUR,  NITMAR  =  MARTIN,  MECION  =  INCOME   —   Giving us:  OSEOCMTNNCM

Clue/Question:  What she used to buy the ripest apple.

Answer:  COMMON CENTS

(I can see some having trouble with this one.  For you guys wondering if they used a name, “martin” is a kind of bird.  Good scrambling of the answer letters!  A quarter is pretty cheap for an apple these days!  Nice pun.  Ice storm prevented delivery of the newspaper.  Had to access the online edition, and download and print the puzzles.  Always takes me some time.  Be good, guys.  Boonie is watching over you.)   — YUR 🙂
