COEMA  =  CAMEO,  TUQES  =  QUEST,  CUSILE  =  SLUICE,  SCEXIE  =  EXCISE   —   Giving us:  ESCEXS

Clue/Question:  What the friends drank to at the birthday party.

Answer:  EXCESS

(Some tough clue words today!  I’m pretty sure we’ve seen both “sluice” and “cameo” in the past, but with different scramblings.  I actually had to back into “cameo”.  Fortunately, the answer itself was pretty simple.  Hopefully, the boys are just downing beers, and are steering clear of those highly caffeinated, ultra-fortified malt beverages.  Who the heck needs a *heart attack in a can*???  At my age, I’m more scared that I might have a heart attack on the can.  That’s no way to go!  Well, actually . . . it is and it isn’t.  But, you know what I mean!  Oh!  And, Happy Birthday to Danny DeVito, Lorne Michaels, and oooh . . . Daisy FuentesMuy Caliente!)   — YUR
