VILIC = CIVIL, SYKAH = SHAKY, CRAFTO = FACTOR, BAFLLE = BEFALL — Giving us: ISFREL
Clue/Question: What the new airline used to get business to take off.
Answer: FLIERS
(Not exactly ending the week with a . . . BANG! Oops! Sorry. I know how these airport people frown upon these types of words. And, be really careful how you call out to your friend Jack! This may be another case of a dying art. A “new” airline? In this day and age of the MEGA-mergers? De-regulation at it’s finest(?). Remember when America was all about open competition? Remember how the airlines cited the rising fuel costs as the reasoning for charging baggage fees? But, though fuel prices have come down and stabilized, the baggage fees remain. Remember how you could change your flight – using an actual real live person – for FREE. But now, even with the high level of the do-it-yourself and computer/automated/non-human processing, they have to charge you a re-booking fee of $50, or more! And, let’s not even get started on the whole “security” shebang. When did we become such sheep? Do you think there’s a chance that we’ll ever wake up, find our cajonés, and take charge of our lives again??? Forgive me if I don’t hold my breath!) — YUR
