My mother loved children – she would have given anything if I’d been one.”   — Groucho Marx

(Sometimes your life has such strange coincidences.  Yesterday, a friend lent me a copy of “Duck Soup” that she had just picked up at a garage sale, and this morning I saw a clip of Groucho guesting on the old Dick Cavett Show!  AND, just yesterday morning I was humming to myself “I love to go swimmin’ with bow-legged women, and swim between their legs”.  Don’t ask me what inspired that!  Cuz, I ain’t tellin’.)   — YUR

Sunday Jumble Spoiler – 11/07/10

I watched what a lot of dew got on on the leaf...

Visual Description:  Salt of the earth providing for the marsh mallow of consumers.

NOOPUC  =  COUPON,  PARULL  =  PLURAL,  ZARWID  =  WIZARD,  POMCLE  =  COMPEL,  DORIAH  =  HAIRDO,  UNTARE  =  NATURE —   Giving us:  COPURDCPERDOUE

Clue/Question:  What the farmer had to do to make ends meet.

Answer:  PRODUCE PRODUCE

(Very nice clue words.  “Plural” gave me some pause.  Same with “nature”.  But, the word that took me the longest was “compel”.  I’ve always found the word “hairdo” to be extremely silly.  Just a personal peeve, I guess.  Great scrambling of the answer letters, as well.  Overall, a fairly challenging Sunday jumble.  Enjoy the remainder of the weekend, folks!)
