Visual Description: The short-sightedness of trying to fake a fortune.
LAGED = GLADE, KYDUS = DUSKY, ABBIDE = BABIED, NAHMLY = HYMNAL — Giving us: GDSBINA
Clue/Question: When her client was arrested for forgery, the clairvoyant said it was . . .
Answer: A BAD “SIGN“
(I actually had less trouble getting “hymnal” than “babied” “Babied” baffled me! I had to back into it again, by looking at the cartoon and figuring out the answer from GDSNA. Even knowing I needed the “B” and the “I” it still took me a while. Good scrambling of the answer letters, today. And, nice double meaning of “bad sign”. Is that one tough/scary looking woman, or what?! Yeesh! Happy Friday, young’uns! If you can’t do good, try not to do bad.) — YUR
PS. Zemanta gave me so much to choose from today! This old cartoon, which is still a little risqué, is pretty funny. You might have to open it to get the full dialog/meaning. — YUR
