(Unfortunately, prisons today are BIG Business.  And, as with any business, they rely on customers returning over and over again.  Rehabilitation is the last thing that they want to effect, because it’s not profitable for them.  It’s the human form of built-in obsolescence.  It’s another one of our nation’s understated, under-reported shames.)   — YUR

    Hey YUR!

    Hope y’all had a good 24th celebration (I know it’s a little late but I mean well…) – we’re only on our 20th.

Guess it’s been a while since I commented (wrote a novel?) here, but the word “martyr” threw me for a minute, although the answer was easy. We tend to cut Jumbles out and solve a few at night after we retire – I do most of the words and Sharon does the answers…

LIKE what you’ve done with the layout lately; the pics and your witty comments are a great combo, and I’ll have to be more punctual – although brevity is NOT my style, sorry. (I DO think you have important things to say and will keep encouraging you to say them!)

Take care, and again, congrats on a long and hopefully happy marriage…
    John

    Thanks, John!

We had a very nice day, sir.

WordPress started offering this feature called Zemanta. If you activate it it searches for relevant pics and stories as you compose a post. It kinda delays my posting some, because I have to look at each thumbnail to decide if I like it or not. Sometimes it gives me pics with very little relevance, and the stories, more and more, are my earlier spoilers! But, I think overall it’s worth it. I think people generally like to see pictures over plain – if not colorful – text.

Thanks, for the positive feedback, John. It’s always appreciated.

    YUR
