(Semi-Tough) Cryptoquote Spoiler – 10/20/10

(This one tripped me up for quite a while.  I thought the “Q” was the “E”, I thought the “L” was a “T”, and that either the first or fourth word was ending in “ING”.  I was a friggin’ mess!  But, I re-wrote the cipher on a pad and regained a fresh perspective.  I wonder if conservatives would disagree with this quote because of it’s positive use of the word “progressive”???  Today, guys like Bill O’Reilly and Glenn Beck would just right off a Will Durant as a communist or socialist.  How sad is that?)   — YUR

(Not bad!  I liked the scrambling of “verify”, and I was forced to back in to “decry”.  I had to leave “cerdy” – temporarily – unsolved, and peeked at the cartoon and figured out the answer.  Then, I knew that I needed an “E” and a “C” in the circles, and “decry” finally bashed me over the head.  At least today’s was more direct and easier than yesterday’s!)   — YUR
