Visual Description: Near miss outside the barber shop.
LOVAC = VOCAL, VEELA = LEAVE, COSHOL = SCHOOL, STOJEL = JOSTLE — Giving us: OAEVSCHSLE
Clue/Question: What the reckless driver gave the barber.
Answer: A CLOSE SHAVE
(I originally had “aleve”, in stead of “leave”! What a dope! But, I still had the Answer, regardless of my faux pas. Of course, upon further review, I realized I had an additional “L” and was missing an “E”, because of my error. I wasn’t thinking of the NSAID, per sé. I was thinking more that the product was named after a verb. But, I was mixing up words – in my little head – like allay and assuage, with alleviate . . . where the name most likely came from. See what happens when you start to get cocky?!?! “Jostle” was a pretty good clue word. Stay thirsty, my friends.) — YUR
P.S. Remember George Carlin’s take on the near miss? Priceless, and right on target . . . as usual. God, I miss that guy! — YUR
