(For whatever reason, “GUITAR” just kicked my butt this morning!  And, they even gave me/us the first two letters . . . in the proper order!  I guess that’s an example of hiding in plain sight.  And great scrambling of the answer letters.  I kind of got lucky, in that I initially thought the first word might be WATER, which left me with letters that could spell GRAPHS.  From that the Steinbeck wordplay just kinda hit me.  Great jumble, boys!  This gets two thumbs up from yer Unclerave.)   —   YUR
