Jumble Spoiler – 09/08/10

Woodcut of medieval clockmakers, 1568.

Visual Description:  Two guys with time on their hands?

NAHVE  =  HAVEN,  LEGYE  =  ELEGY,  NAHDEL  =  HANDLE,  CLAMIE  =  MALICE   —   Giving us:  HVNEGHADMAI

Clue/Question:  What the apprentice did for the clockmaker.

Answer:  GAVE HIM A HAND

(A little obvious today, huh gang?  That’s why I felt safe putting part of the answer in my visual description.  “ELEGY” tripped me up for a minute, or so, but everything else came to me pretty quickly.  I like seeing words like “MALICE” and – from a few days ago – SOLACE.  Do good today, guys!)   —   YUR
