Visual Description: Farmer Brown behind on his taxes?
ERASHE = HEARSE, GLERCY = CLERGY, CAMIOT = ATOMIC, GLEANB = BANGLE, GRINTY = TRYING, YURLOH = HOURLY — Giving us: ASERMINGTNH
Clue/Question: When the parsley farmer didn’t pay his debt, he faced . . .
Answer: “GARNISH –MENT“
(Very nice pun! The clue words were fairly simple. But, I can see some of the younger folk having a hard time getting “atomic”. The word is kind of passe. I had to back track on the very first word. My first impulse was “rasher”, and not “hearse”. But, after I made the connection of parsley to garnish I realized I was missing the “A”. At that point I had to re-evaluate the situation. Since my first inclination was two syllables I was, naturally, looking for another two syllable word. This slowed me down for a minute or two, before (the) hearse finally hit me! Enjoy the rest of your Sunday!) — YUR
PS. Ooh, ooh! Did you see that the guys put my initials into the scrambled “hourly”? Yessirree, folks! Your Uncle Rave is making the big time! LOL!!!
