LAPLOW = WALLOP, PYSEDE = SPEEDY, YANTID = DAINTY, KUSTEM = MUSKET, CLEFEE = FLEECE, EDOSRL = SOLDER — Giving us: WPSEATSKEES
Clue/Question: What the players received when they won the curling match.
Answer: “SWEEP” STAKES
(I love a good pun! Of all the clue words I had the most difficulty getting “speedy”. It must’ve been the scrambling. None of the words, nor the answer, were obvious from the jumbled letters. Not all that tough getting the answer, unless you’ve never seen curling before. I thought it was fun.) — YUR
for the last clue, i kept getting resold and dorsel…kept messing me up for the answer!
The Sunday May 16 2010 JUMBLE game pertaining to answer the question “What the Players received when they won the curling match?’ had the letters EDOSRL which had to be decoded to spell SOLDER as you rightly noted. In an unprecedented semantic doubling on the part of the Jumble people the letters EDOSRL also spell the word RESOLD. It is the first time I have noticed this allowable variance in JUMBLE.
Nice catch, Dominique!
I did not notice this. I’m sure if some went with RESOLD they would not be able to come up with the answer. I did not receive all that many hits yesterday, so maybe the guys just got lucky slipping this one past us . . . but not you!
Thank you, for contributing!

SarBear,
Sorry, dude! I wasn’t trying to ignore you, or anything. For some reason your comment hit the spam folder. You s/b good going forward. (I don’t think “dorsel” is a legit word though.)
