Sunday Cryptoquote Spoiler – 05/16/10

A single conversation across the table with a wise man is worth a month’s study of books.”   — Chinese Proverb

(This is something that I’ve always adhered to.  Which then makes me wonder the value of today’s E-courses.  Interaction with a teacher/instructor/professor is invaluable, in my opinion.)   — YUR

Sunday Jumble Spoiler – 05/16/10

Visual Description:  Awards ceremony at the curling tournament.

LAPLOW  =  WALLOP,  PYSEDE  =  SPEEDY,  YANTID  =  DAINTY,  KUSTEM  =  MUSKET,  CLEFEE  =  FLEECE,  EDOSRL  =  SOLDER   —   Giving us:  WPSEATSKEES

Clue/Question:  What the players received when they won the curling match.

Answer:  “SWEEPSTAKES

(I love a good pun!  Of all the clue words I had the most difficulty getting “speedy”.  It must’ve been the scrambling.  None of the words, nor the answer, were obvious from the jumbled letters.  Not all that tough getting the answer, unless you’ve never seen curling before.  I thought it was fun.)   — YUR
