“What’s this business of being a writer? It’s just putting one word after another.” — Irving Thalberg
(I always associate the name with that honorary award that is given at the Academy Awards, but I never stopped to see who he was. The guy seemed to know that his time on this earth was limited, because he became the Executive in charge of productions at Universal Studios in California . . . by age 21. He produced 89 movies in a little over 15 years. And, he died of pneumonia at the tender age of 37. His nickname was “The Boy Wonder”. 13 of his films were nominated for Academy Awards, and he took home 3 Best Picture awards. A bright, white-hot light that was doomed to burn out far too soon.) — YUR
