Sunday Cryptoquote Spoiler – 05/02/10

The greatest mistake you can make in life is to be continually fearing you will make one.”   — Elbert Hubbard

(Marvelous quote, condensed by Nike into:  Just Do It! Elbert Hubbard and his wife Alice died when the Lusitania was sunk, by a German submarine, on May 7, 1915.  From a letter to their son, from one of the survivors, it appears that they made sure that they would go out together, because they went back into a stateroom and shut the door.  I would like to think that they were able to make love one last time.  At the very least they died in each others arms.) —   YUR

(Tough) Sunday Jumble Spoiler – 05/02/10

Visual Description:  Justly angry diners at the fancy restaurant.

YURNUL  =  UNRULY,  BOTHED  =  HOTBED,  LOCCIA  =  CALICO,  ROMMAT  =  MARMOT,  MURQUO  =  QUORUM,  OCCRAD  =  ACCORD   —   Giving us:  NLHEDLOATUORCR

Clue/Question:  What the diners got when their meals arrived cold.

Answer:  HOT UNDER THE COLLAR

(Some very good clue words and the answer letters were nicely scrambled!  They can’t all be a real challenge, but it’s nice to see that they’re taking the steps to not make them so obvious.  I was having some difficulty getting today’s answer, but then I employed RALIS95’s suggestion . . . and, I think that it actually helped me in getting the answer!  Enjoy the remainder of your weekend, guys and gals!)   — YUR
