Visual Description: Unhappy soldiers on garbage duty.
BOGUM = GUMBO, LODEY = YODEL, SILAAS = ASSAIL, CHEPSY = PSYCHE — Giving us: UMELASSH
Clue/Question: The garbage detail described the mess hall pickup as a . . .
Answer: HAUL MESS (or: MESS HAUL)
(Either way works, in my mind. I originally had MESS HAUL, but decided that would work better if the first word were MESSY, which it isn’t. Either way, it’s a mess and they’re hauling it away. Anybody think there is a definitive answer?) — YUR
(JT is the only one to chime in on this, and he was right! I guess it could only have gone either way in my warped brain.) — 🙂 YUR
