    Hello–
Is ther a word “rarety” ?? Dictionary has the word.

I know–not today. Has to be –as so noted –correctly.

    JT

aside: “Backing” into this jumble–earlier today.
Kinda thought ” forever” was it–but
needed the two “r” ‘s–to get forever.

    Playing the jumble seemed–forever–earlier.

Have not seen–many times–where–same letters allow for
    more than one word.
Also–very “slow” start today–after a day of eats.

    Thanks

“rarety” MIGHT be an alternative spelling for “rarity”, but I don’t know, and I don’t think it would be considered *common* or *ordinary*. (I actually considered “rarety” myself, but knew it didn’t look right!) The confusion might come from the fact that the word “rarefied” is spelled the way that it’s spelled, and not “rarified”. When you grow up speaking the English language everything just kind of makes sense, but when you see the rules that other languages follow you get an appreciation for just how difficult English is. There are just so many exceptions to the rules, and often there seems to be no rhyme or reason to it.

They mixed up “than” and “then”. It drives me nuts when people do that.

VERY good catch, Amy! I didn’t even notice it, and I didn’t *knowingly* correct it. I thought either YOU had it backwards, or it was just wrong in YOUR newspaper. Then, I went back to my paper and saw that it WAS “then”, and I had to laugh! What a bunch of dopes! (Sorry, for doubting you!)

My latest pet peeve is the question: “Where you at?” It has made it’s way into our vernacular, and so many people do not realize just how wrong this question is!
