Gem codes are not provided in the newspaper. All you really need is a general concept of word and sentence structure. You look for certain give-aways, like repeating letters, the single letter words “I” and “A”, etc. Punctuation can help, too. A question mark lets you know that the sentence is going to start with a: how, who, why, what, when, where, etc. An apostrophe is usually a good clue, also. “E” is *usually* the most used vowel. A lot of words end in “E”, so keep that in mind. Other than that, you just have to use yer noodle! Keep pluggin’, kid!
