SUROE = ROUSE, KLEAN = ANKLE, CURSIC = CIRCUS, PERMUB = BUMPER — Giving us: OUEKLCCSBUP
Clue/Question: What the expensive deer hunting trip amounted to.
Answer: A COUPLE OF “BUCKS”
(Not bad! But, the cartoon has them saying it cost them “$100 a pound”! At 200 – 300 pounds apiece (undressed) that would be quite expensive. Field dressed would be 156 – 234 pounds, apiece. Still very dear – no pun intended. And, if they take it all the way down to “edible meat weight” you’re still looking at 86 – 129 pounds, apiece. At a $100 a pound?!? I think I’ll stick to the Wendy’s Value Menu, thank you!) — YUR
