Clue/Question: What the poker group played for.
Answer: BIG STEAKS
(Shouldn’t there be quotation marks around STEAKS? Or, are they just leaving it open for STAKES?) — YUR
Visited by 90 year old parents–just after dinner. They just finished today’s jumble and told me they got the answer–and they said the answer.Told them–I just got the answer also.
I also–had finished the jumble–when I got home from work–and got ” the answer”.
Looking at their jumble–they had “stakes’–to my surprise.
I had “steaks” , back at home in print. Then shared with them
the “other” steaks.
Dad went on–to mention “other” stakes–that you pitch a tent with, investment stakes, etc.
So–this is a “fun” jumble.
Same letters–different words–that sound the same.
Thanks
JT
Straight up would be BIG STAKES, but in the cartoon the one guy tells the loser that: “Dinner’s on you.”, leading me (and you?) to believe that the answer s/b BIG STEAKS.
