Minnesota, USA!

Gee willikers!  By golly by gosh!  The fair state of Minne-SO-ta is firmly in the Obama camp, don’t cha know!

The nomination is not sewed up, per se, but the Obama camp is VERY confident of the inevitable.  This continuation of Hillary Clinton, vying for the Democratic nomination, is accomplishing nothing but allowing John McCain to: conserve energy/rest up, plot strategies for both Barack and Hillary, conserve the campaign funds he already has, and concentrate on raising new campaign funds.  This ongoing divisiveness is only going to put the Democratic Party that much further behind the eight-ball, when it FINALLY comes time to campaign against John McCain.

It is clearly time to put forth a united front.  Will Hill take off the ambition blinders?  Will she PROVE her love of her country?  We’ll just have to wait and see.  Hopefully, not too long.

Pennsylvania DOES Have a Choice

Pennsylvania has long been one of those powerful states that’s largely controlled by the big party machines.  Their republicans tend to follow their party machine, as their democrats tend to follow their party machine.  It should come as no surprise to anyone that Hillary Clinton is much more entrenched in the democratic party machine than Barack Obama is.  It’s one of the main reasons that she has done better in the larger, non-caucus states.  But, fortunately, there are enough people who are willing to forego the wishes (or will) of the those party machines.  That is why Mrs. Clinton has not run away with the popular vote in the states that she has won.  She has – up to now – enjoyed a relatively healthy 12% edge in the Pennsylvania polls, over Mr. Obama.  Senator Casey’s endorsement of Barack Obama should help whittle down that 12% some.  Just how much remains to be seen.

For Mr. Obama’s sake (and our country’s sake), I hope that a lot more Pennsylvanians follow Mr. Casey’s lead, and find their own reasons to begin to think more seriously about who would be the better democratic candidate.

Security Gains??? of “The Surge”

Do you see what happens when the US government (read the Bush Administration) tries to take too much credit for very questionable glory.

Further proof that the additional 20,000 men, playing whack-a-mole, actually had very little to do with any significant improvements in Iraq.  Looks like someone reneged on a promise made to al Sadr.

It’s time to stop being obedient sheep, people.  The Great Fabricator pulled another fast one, with the help of the culpable corporate media propaganda machine.  And let’s face it, kids.  We let it happen . . . again.  So, put down the Bud-Lite and the Cheetohs, and get off yer mushy, complacent arses and start making some friggin’ noise!  Damn it!
