Visual Description: Dolly Parton . . . spilling out all over the place.
SCURH = CRUSH, HICTK = THICK, TUDNOL = UNTOLD, MOYMER = MEMORY — Giving us: CUSTICUNOMRY
Clue/Question: Regardless of the style it’s performed in, a national anthem is this.
Answer: _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ Yes, the answer is COUNTRY MUSIC. Even though it’s a 12 letter answer, I guess it wasn’t all that difficult. Dang! I shoulda done this with yesterday’s Jumble. LOL! I’m giving the Wiseguy title to Reid, for his Roseanne quip. The answer letters don’t support NATIONAL DISASTER, but it’s still funny. Thanks for playing along, folks! — YUR
(I thought yesterday’s puzzle was fairly easy, but the phrase “DEAD TO RIGHTS” seemed a little alien to a lot of you. In hind-sight, I wish I had made it the the Unclerave’s Wiseguy of the Day contest, for the month of May. I had almost forgotten about that completely! I know some of you would prefer that I’d forget about it altogether, but hey! Whose blog is it, anyway??? Instead, I’m inflicting it upon you, today! Lucky you. Same rules as before. The first correct answer submitted isn’t necessarily going to be the winner, although it could be. You need to submit the correct answer and an appropriate wiseguy remark, to be in the running. It can be directed at the answer itself, the cartoon – *grin*, or at yours truly. Be as funky and free as you want to be. Just know that I control the edit key.
Great clue word jumbling. I was puzzled by TUDNOL for a few seconds. As it turns out, “untold” is new to the ralis95 clue word database, so that might explain why some of you, like me, didn’t get it instantaneously. The answer letter layout was very good. A little short of great. And, how can you not like the cartoon? A baseball game, with the American flag blowing in the background. A pretty singer, belting it out on the pitcher’s mound . . . and mounds of flesh . . . to kind of round thangs out! Goddam! Must be a Brave’s game. Or, maybe a Ranger’s game? Ahh . . . Dolly’s welcome just about anywhere. Be well and do good, friends.) — YUR

@ Karen- I love it when I hear about team Jumbling. Especially with the older parents. I’ve really come to appreciate Dolly more and more in the last few years. I didn’t realize what a prolific songwriter she was. I don’t usually draw women with those kind of proportions. But with Dolly, kinda can’t do it without
