(You can always tell from the details of the cartoon characters whether the Jumble is just generic, or specific to some: movie, TV show, historical figure, or some buddies of Jeff Knurek.  Today, he has given us Stephan Pastis, the creator of Pearls Before Swine, a nationally syndicated cartoon/comic strip.  My newspaper does not carry it, but I am familiar with it.  My guess is that they’re buddies, probably because they’re in the same business, but I guess they could just be Facebook friends.  Maybe Jeff will grace this humble blog, with some clarification.  Apparently, Stephan was a lawyer for a time, but gave it up, for a more rewarding passion.  Don’t know who JG is.  Looks a little like Tim Robbins, but maybe he’s just Stephan’s old boss.  Not sure if the disgruntled client is supposed to be anyone in particular, either.  Maybe all three are friends of Jeff.

Looks like there were no new clue words, today, though they were all well jumbled.  The answer letter layout was alright.  Not too difficult to figure out today’s answer.

That’s about it, guys.  Looks like there might be a temporary reprieve to shutting this blog down.  We’ll just take it one day at a time, I guess.  Be well and do good, friends.)   —   YUR

    YUR:
Whatever course you decide upon – you’ll have my support. That breeze you feel heading across NJ right now though, is the front end of the collective sigh of relief expelled by your friends across the rest of the country, after reading today’s post.

    :-)

The nieces and nephews need to spread the word, ralis95! Yesterday’s numbers were a pleasant surprise, but if they were just an aberration . . .

    Thanks for your support, buddy!

Sorry I’ve been mia. I’m on spring Break with the family and had lots of work to do to get ahead. Yep that would. Would be Pastis. Never met the guy, just like his strip. He’s kinda avoided acknowledging I’ve put him in twice already. Oh well must not be a fan. JG, is John Glynn. A big honcho and all around great guy at one of the competitors. And that poor soul sentence to the slammer is Josh Frulinger, who has Blog I also contribute my brilliance to. Keep up the great work. I’m here several times a day whether you know it or not.

YEA!!! So nice to see you and see the “reprieve.” I too am here about every time I get a jumble solved to see what comments, insights, and stories you have to share with us! I love this blog, always entertaining, interesting, thought provoking!

As regards this particular jumble — in my sometimes usual dyslexic way I added an “a,” replacing a “r” that should have been there and came up with “aural.” I knew the answer had to be “trial and error,” and just knew our jumble geniuses made a mistake. So, I came to the blog to see if I’d gotten the words unjumbled correctly and found my error.

Sometimes our minds play tricks on us, LindaLee! And, once your mind is made up, your mind overrides your eyes. I think we’ve all been there, at one time or another. I write stuff all the time. I proof read it, usually more than once. However, I’ll very often find some kind of mistake ONLY after I post! Sometimes I won’t even catch them, but one of my readers will usually let me know about it.

I’m glad that this site helped you out. We all help each other out.
