Clue/Question: After winning the big hand, he was this.
Answer: CHIPPER
(I can see some people having a little trouble with this one. Especially with the youngsters out there. It’s not all that common an adjective these days. The answer letter layout didn’t give it away! I guess you gotta go by the sour mugs on all the losers vs. the smile on the winner’s face. None of the clue words are new today, but they were all jumbled nicely. I see some b-ball on the tv screen in the background. That reminds me that the Univ. of Ohio Bobcats are still in the tournament, after beating Jeff’s Michigan Wolverines – pretty big upset – and the South Florida Bulls. Due to a major injury to North Carolina’s starting point guard, the Bobcats stand a decent chance to go even further in this thing. They could be this year’s Cinderella story! I’m not really into the brackets of March Madness these days. Does anybody know if it could come down to – theoretically, at least – to the Bobcats of Ohio vs. the Buckeyes of Ohio State??? That would be interesting. I love rooting against Ohio State! Be well and do good, friends.) — YUR

Pretty easy Jumble today! PURGE and RADISH did not look familiar. Were they in the data base? I don’t watch basketball, so sorry I can’t comment on that, but I did like the bobcat pic. I love cats, of all sizes. Sad day, though, today…my sister’s 19-year-old kitty passed on.
Lesley!
We had “purge” pretty recently! (within the last month, or so) And “radish” is one of those Jumble standard words. Maybe, we haven’t seen it in a while, but it’s a recurring word. I actually haven’t watched a single tournament game this year! I’m more of a casual basketball fan, but I’m an overall sports’ fan, so I allow myself to get caught up in some of the great stories! I love a good story.
Sorry to hear about the puddy tat, Lesley. 19 is pretty ancient though! I’m sure your sister provided a nice life for her furry companion. Pets, especially ones you’ve shared a great part of your life with, end up being like one of your children. There is real pain when they go. Please pass on my sincere condolences.

I will tell my sister! Thanks, YUR!
